A day in the market like today is when Muddy’s Darkside Watches 8/18 actually start to pan out as nice shorts on green to red. Remember many times before he and I have mentioned in a market like the past 2-3 months the darkside list is best used for green holds or red to green plays vs. shorts. BUT if we are going to start to drop here it’s going to come into play more so on the short side. As you know though, we could be in for a surprise and see it ramp right back up.. but we’ll see – that’s why we take it one day at a time and don’t try to forecast it.

Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc. (DTG) and Diedrich Coffee Inc. (DDRX) started to finally break down I think most of these bounces will be good shorts as the market begins to fall again. Lots of shorts are starting to come into play even though most of the plays today were longs.

Unfortunately charts had an issue this morning on my software so I started off slow the first half hour but then made up for it on HURN and CRY. Should have some great plays through the remainder of the week.

Huron Consulting Group Inc. (HURN) big alert in chat today, got $1.01/share awesome gainer. Many played it so congrats if you were one of them! I played it again after hours for about 40 cents per share but it kept going straight into the 8pm after hours trading close. This should be an AWESOME play tomorrow again possible great squeeze since the huge drop at the beginning on the month. Once it rocks, watch for the flip as well to the short side.

CryoLife Inc. (CRY) yet another great play ripping towards $7 today was an awesome gain for us. Probably the second best play second to HURN for me. Should be in play yet again tomorrow both long and short – we’ll see how it opens up and go from there. If it fails at $7.50 may be a potential short but if it opens green and holds might have another nice push towards $8s

Mesa Air Group Inc. (MESA) one heck of a mover, volume has be consistant watch for a bit of consolidation around .25s and later on this week this may be in play again. Has been a money maker in chat.

Nanometrics Inc. (NANO) looking for a long play on green hold tomorrow

Pinnacle Airlines Corp. (PNCL) looking for a long hold if $5.50 holds

IDCC as always I watch the biggest droppers hopefully it drops a bit more tomorrow and then has a nice rebound (dead cat bounce). That’s all I’m interested in.. not going to hold it over.. not going to marry it.. looking for the first rebound and then taking it off.

Gladstone Capital Corporation (GLAD) potential bounce watch for it to blow out $7.50s and looking for a a bounce back through $7.50 towards $8 before volume dies the next few days and slowly drops off

DXCM nice move so far tomorrow could bring an accelerated move towards $5.50s watching for a $5 break and hold

GRO yet another great move, been playing this one past few days in chat – SEED/FEED were the best agriculture stocks today but this one is a close third. SEED had an awful report after hours so is down after hours, more than likely will be another great play on the short side

FEED going to be playing tomorrow with a short bias – heck of a move past few days

SYMM lighter volume wish I saw it on scan last night $5 break and hold was a no brainer – keep an eye for further momentum

YRCW if the market continues keep an eye for a bounce off $2.50, if it doesn’t hold might head back towards $2

COT ran through the $5 area I figured, if it doesn’t hold green tomorrow I’m short bias but only intraday

DDRX still playing with a short bias but if I’m up a buck I’ll probably take it

GRO has been a great play in chat alongside SEED and FEED so will watch for more upside while it remains active (volume over 1 mil +)

PAYD been on watch for a while now looking for the $.15 break HERE, been slowly continuing one I remember from the past at it again

PARD interested if the $4 area holds should continue a bit higher..

DDRX shorted a few Friday nothing to shout about $15.73 and 16.13 but covered 1/2 at $15.15 after hours, ya that was my 149 share print but re-added that 1/2 at $16.05 later in the after hour session. It’s a tiny position I’m going for the morning panic or not.. don’t really care taking a chance for $150-300 bones. This thing reminds me of MXC and PDO when everyone kept saying this HAS to be top.. usually at that point there was one more big move before it finally started to put in tops and lower highs settling back to sub $10 range

SAY held a few over from Friday will sell if any gap, tried to break $2.25 a few times no such luck – history of gapping if it does I’ll be out on it

FEED like GRO and SEED been hot hot lately, the volume is there and many intraday swings .. just watch for the intraday bottoming

ORS nice break of .60 cent level keep an eye for further uspide – I like it for a long as long as .70 holds

AUY gold stock traded pretty well today, its a pretty solid read on the 1 minute chart – traded it a few times tomorrow will be looking to do the same on the short side of $10.50 doesn’t hold

BRCD very bullish, some blow off volume today keep an eye for further upside followed by the fade

CSIQ gearing towards $11 – will watch for the rest anf fade off highs

OGXI killer alert in chat today – nearly triple off the $6 level this may have more if $16 holds

DDRX not many avaialble but 4,000 available for shorting at my brokerage.. its going to be on watch although I don’t think we’ll see a big correction but rather a slow and steady slide back towards $8s

DDRX can’t believe this thing is still going from the first day it ripped around .50 cents. Purely a squeezer it as long as they can keep them squeeze it’ll stay up, this is going to be a nice short after a potential gap open. Area of interest for me $4.50 hold/break. All the financials appear to be unaudited so as soon as the momentum does stop its going to be a nice play on the downside

DAL watch for the $8 hold – all airlines hot today check out the sector list on the dashboard for other airline stocks of interest

FNET another thin mover, watch for further continuation $4 area of interest

QELP starting to get some attention off the $1 mark, $1.50 area of interest if it holds may continue towards $2+ easily

PWAV nice break off the .70 consolidation watch for .80 to hold, volume was nice today may have a test of $1.00+ only if .78-.80 holds

VNDA nice move off bottoms – may long out of open $1.05-1.07 stop
