The launch comes with the addition of seminar’s twice a month geared towards answering the most commonly asked questions in chat , e-mails and comments populating the FAQs and a full knowledge base which will be added to the dashboard as shown below.

We’ll be adding a tab for the Pre-List for those who arrive after 9:15AM when Muddy normal puts out the list which will be viewable before entering the chat.

Chat logs will be accessible through both Word and HTML on the InvestorsUnderground website only

Stock Screens will be a shortcut to stocks on watch for the following day as well as Muddy’s DayRangers and Watches list.

I will have a post up tomorrow with information on the first Seminar January 11th, 2008. These will be chat room based aimed at creating a trader and understanding the basics, how to scan, what to look for, things that have worked and things that don’t work, etc. etc. and will build over time. Some of the questions that we’ve always received “Will you tell us what price to buy, what the target is and what to sell at” the answer is NO. We don’t make buy or sell recommendations we make alerts to stocks on the move, breaking out, breaking down and all of the above. We are full time traders and love what we do.

Some ask why pay? Why create a business out of it? When you are a trader you can only make money 5 days a week. I, Muddy and Laura all wanted to own a business one day and really create something that everyone can benefit from rather than just be the “trader bum” at every family gathering. The goal is to create hundreds and thousands of Muddy carbon copies throughout the years. This isn’t a overnight project it’s something we’ve been working on for a very long time. Nothing is happening to InvestorsLive there will still be a morning commentary each AM, stocks on watch and recaps of the trading day. As we continue to grow the knowledge base will grow along with it with the goal to really learn exactly what one needs start to finish to learn the Muddy Method.

Today was very successful on the launch of the chat . We will have a few more options soon with different pop out options so find a size that works with your monitor and trading platforms.

Today if you noticed around 9:30PM you were booted it was for a good reason! We increased the buffer and backlog which should allow scrolling back a bit further during the day. If you are reading the chat during the day and missed something you can stop the scroll by using the anchor above the send button. This will allow you to scroll up without having it auto scroll when someone types. Once done reading press it again and it will always show the latest line.

If you’d like to clear the pan you can use the white sheet of paper icon.

If you’d like to view the logs since you’ve been in the chat and can’t scroll up high enough within the chat window use the icon on the right of the clear – with the small disk – this will show all logs. Yes, it doesn’t show time stamps but the chat logs do. We will begin posting chat logs at the end of each day starting tomorrow. The data uploads daily on the server and will allow us to upload it for all users to view.

Here are a few features of the chat. Individual user settings are found in the top right under the small gear. This gives you the ability to increase/decrease the font size, have alert sounds on/off, ignore private messages, and show fonts and colors (which I’d suggest because our moderators each use bold + color).

After many request to create a better system than continually refreshing the comment pages to view trade ideas and thoughts in near real time during the trading day we’ve come up with a solution.
