So what is that orange RSS thing anyway? Why should I subscribe? What does RSS Icon mean?

What do the words blog, webcam, SPAM, dotcom, email and Internet have in common? That’s right! None of them existed 30 years ago.

The Internet has changed the way we live in almost every way. It certainly has changed the way business is done, both in positive and negative ways. In investing, the Internet has not changed the way we do business, it has REBUILT the way we do business. But it is changing on a daily basis and we strive to stay on the cutting edge in order to reap the rewards of technology.

True to that mission, InvestorsLive.com is announces technologically an advanced tool that will help you do your investment due diligence with ease and speed.

What is RSS? RSS (which stands for, believe it or not, Really Simple Syndication) can be described technically, but for now, let’s look at RSS from a very basic perspective. Really Simple Syndication is essentially a news wire, being transmitted much like radio waves to whoever is tuned in.

“But what does this mean for me?” Well, traditionally information is disseminated to the masses via press releases, newsletters, blogs, etc. The only caveat with this type of information is that you must come and get it. A press release does the public no good if the public never sees it. If you are tracking a particular company or type of investment, how do you know where to get that information? RSS allows us to create an instant feed to subscribers’ homepages via a syndication that only requires that you request it once. Imagine! An investor wants updates on a particular company or stock sector. Instead of surfing the net for news or statistics, this investor has an RSS feed that sends them updates to their homepage – automatically and at light speed. This is just one more way we make your homework that much easier!
