Recap: Sunday Night Scan for Monday June 2nd

ACTL nice breakout today - from last nights scan:

ACTL - $17.20 is the 52 week high, this should test $18 easily when it snaps the high and may move as high as $20 before more consolidation. If it remains unsuccessful at breaking any higher - I’m not convinced that it’s a short since its been a slow and gradual move.

ACTL closed at $17.85 once it broke $17.20 it didn’t look back. You can view the chart HERE

PESI didn’t hold the $2.50 level as I would have liked to see - I will now watch this one for a breakout over it - as it is still a nice chart and can move towards $3 once it breaks and holds the $2.50 level.
You can view the chart HERE.

WIND, BGS and CMO all sitting right below the resistance points (WIND: $11, BGS: $10, and CMO $14) any break through these I’d consider a buy - HCKT if it breaks $5.50 this should test $6 easily.

ACTL - $17.20 is the 52 week high, this should test $18 easily when it snaps the high and may move as high as $20 before more consolidation. If it remains unsuccessful at breaking any higher - I’m not convinced that it’s a short since its been a slow and gradual move.
ACTL

PESI After a handful of unsuccessful attempts to break through and sustain a move above $2.50  Perma-Fix Environmental Services will attempt once again on Monday. Watch for $2.50 to hold as support and $2.60 break may be the good buy for a move towards $3.
PESI

WIND - Watch for the squeeze above $11- this can easily move back towards 52 week highs of $13.42 if $11 breaks and holds. I wouldn’t short this here - if anything it’s probably a better buy on dips (technically - not fundamental based)
WIND

BGS - Nearly a month of tight gradual consolidation with big volume on Friday, watching for a move towards $10 I will wait for the $10 to brea before buying - can squeeze back towards highs.
BGS

CMO - Very similar to BGS, watching here for the $14 break, these channels are getting tighter and tighter which symbolizes a bigger than normal move in which ever direction it decides to go.
CMO

HCKT - I like this chart, its really not all that much and can support a much larger move. It may dip a bit before retesting highs and then cruise through $5.50. On that break, $6-7 is possible.
HCKT

LLNW on bottom reversal watch. This needs a second day, most days that it has began to move it just sells off the following day. It broke through its previous three highs so may carry a bit more momentum with it - I’d like to see a $3.50 break before jumping in.
LLNW

Now for some Breakouts and Short Candidates

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

Breakouts:

CMO is on the verge of breakout, this could easily fill the gap to $16.00 on a break of $13.92 (lets call it $14) which is the 200 day moving average. There is a double top around the 13.75 area. The play here is buying on the $14.00 break.
CMO

BCF is breaking its all time highs, this is well on its way towards the $20s
BCF

ENI - Amazingly bullish stock, this is heading for over $20 and hasn’t shown any weakness to this point.
ENI

Short Watch: Near Term

BEXP topping off it may squeeze through $10 but if volume dries and starts to show weakness this will test sub $9
BEXP

GBRC - this one is topping off, perhaps one more squeeze towards the $4.50 range and that’s about it, this is up way to much.
GBRC

The following I am looking for spikes to short on, these are all on the verge of breakout but still have another $1 to $2.00 in their squeezes, if they don’t and turn red, perfect time to short - these are not long term shorts they are just short term trades. It’s taking advantage of a price correction after a huge move higher, although they may sustain over the long period and make even more highs they still need to consolidate and filter out some of the longs. Investors/Traders end up satisfied with there enormous gains in such a short period of time and the first sign of weakness they are afraid to give them all back.

HL I’d like to see test $14
HL

HA - this could squeeze almost to $10 before it takes a break
HA

AAV looks very toppy today but given market conditions I’d like to see another squeeze out of it before I’m convinced theres a good short side opportunity

AAV

CLR - what a move for the longs, this may test $45 again shortly but needs a break if it’s going to hold any of these gains longer term
CLR

CF I wouldn’t be surprised to see $160 before it gives shorts some ease
CF

BG on watch towards $130
BG

BTU $68 I’ll start watching
