Sunday Night Stock Scan for Cinco de Mayo 2008!

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

VSCI broke through $5 Friday closing at $5.23, this was from our buying the breakout scan. Others from that scan include HDSN is also sitting at $2.50 (breakout level) and WMG will not give up trying to break $9.00.
VSCI

SSBX Bounce Watch - $2.62 was Fridays low, if this breaks it may test towards the low $2’s. Watch for dips out of open Monday this may play towards $3.25-$3.50 on a bounce. Its highly likely it may want to test the $2.50s first.
SSBX

GTXO under the radar breakout scan - chart is setting up nicely. Nothing really here to comment technicals wise since it appears fully controlled. Similar to KYUS and the past success of MXFD.
GTXO

LGDI taking on a new life, this may gap over $4 probably $4.10-4.30 range.. this may have enough strength for a few more days if it can hold all of Fridays gains out of the open Monday… if it can’t hold $4.00 … see you at $3.25 (or lower)… fast. It does look rather powerful though, I’d like to see a parabolic before it corrects.. unless of course it has reason to support a $600 mil market cap here
LGDI

AVR - Aventine Renewable Energy breaking out of its downward channel, on the $6 break this could squeeze huge.
AVR

Breakout Charts - All appear to have more upside but any abnormally large spike out of the open should be considered a short watch to take advantage of any over extension. All appear to be very well supported and might want to break out of current channels for good.

RUTH - this can play up to around $9.00 before meeting any real resistance
RUTH
RUTH mentioned here by Bob O’Brien always worth the read

NTWK - $3.00 automatic, just a waiting game
NTWK

MOSY $5.50 break could bring some fireworks back towards the $6 range
MOSY

TSYS - this may gap and grab, if it has any follow through could turn into a multi day runner towards $5.50-6 on a $5 break

ANAD and DBTK consolidating…. for Breakout?

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

Heading back to this strategy the following have jumped on my radar:

Consolidation and potential breakout watch ANAD and DBTK

ANAD - has been holding all gains since its gap last week, looking for consolidation between $11-$11.50 with breakout/breakdown above/blow those areas. What does that mean? Breakout at $11.50 (on the break) and if it falls under $11, this may be a good short back down to $9.75-10 range.
ANAD

DBTK - Simlar chart to ANAD, watching for the same pattern, $15 breakout and $14.50 breakdown.

Recap: Market Taking a Breather

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

GOOG, MA, and BIDU all took a break Friday after quite the moves over the past two weeks… but RIMM on the other hand smashed through $130 as we anticipated and held the gains through the day.. I expect more of a move this week - but it may want to test $130 again.

GOOG I figured would test $585 - it’s currently sitting at $581. MA I figured would test $285, it’s currently sitting just 4 cents above. BIDU I figured would test $355 it’s currently sitting at $361, it did however test $357 Friday. I’d like to see more of a sell off / correction / shake / profit taking / get out the weak and then squeeze higher move this week over their anticipated levels such as $600, $300 and $400 respectively.

Expect a scan for Monday out shortly.

Recap: Thursday Nights Scan for May 2nd

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

JRJC was able to break the last resistance and looks rather strong. I don’t think much will be in play on the short side due to probable consolidation at these higher levels.

WSCI it sold off a bit more Friday before recovering, this should test $14+ Monday perhaps recovering towards mid 14’s low 15’s by Wednesday.

UTEK still relatively strong, it didn’t test $14 the play here is the $15 break. It’s becoming less appealing on the short side… $15 break could send it spiking $1-1.50.

CNC did correct about .50 cents Friday, it needs to lose $18 again and could play down to $16.50-$17. It has to break through $18 though, or else its not even worth your radar screen.

MESA played out really well, the squeeze over $1.00 and it sat right back down after that move Friday morning. This may open a bit higher and try to consolidate around $1.00 but I’m sure we head back there sooner then later.

Scan coming soon for Monday!
