Most of the time yes I have a 52 week high scanner which I watch for some of these making new highs. Most I watch for volume, or watch to see which market makers are support vs. sellers and get a feel for the stock. I don't have any alerts set, I watch for them to gain momentum or prove themselves for example if it dips one day, does it come right back up by the close?
