I tweeted this mid day Friday which is an important lesson and I’m sure MANY learned it th hard way.

$NLST Why shorting b/c its “UP TOO MUCH” doesnt work, luckily you’re constantly reminded by @timothysykes and InvestorsUnderground

We played the long on this one in chat out of the open, many times in seminar we’ll discuss how to play these morning gaps on the Nasdaq, we watch for the pull back, a quick drop I like the risk/reward for entry and that’s exactly what I/we did on Friday, yes I was .02 cents off it only hit $7.98… I figured $8

This is a VERY IMPORTANT LESSON though, everyone who thought “Wow, it ran 400% this is an obvious short” got destroyed. Don’t fight the trend, if you win on the short side take your gains. Many times over the week we pointed out solid support areas, and “Wow it’s actually holding, be careful guys this could reverse” come Thursday/Friday with bulls in control it was clearly a nice Friday short squeeze set up. The important lesson is to take losses, if you’re wrong – be wrong. Everyone takes losses – IT’S PART OF TRADING but if you want to be successful at it you need to be comfortable with controlling them.

Since Wednesday I was “scared” to short it and only looking for longs as you can see, I don’t expect it going back to any of the lower levels for a few weeks (if it does) figured it would have a “quick dip” and “get rolling back up to the $5s”
